The iconic plastic bag
Living in Jackson Heights, New York, I see the iconic plastic bag as an intrusive yet powerful emblem in our society. Shared by a diverse range of socio-economic and cultural statuses, it represents how the supermarket, food, and our natural resources have become the center of colonization. The goal is to allow immigrant vendors to opt for the new recyclable solution and be the new messengers of the earth and how we see it.
