Art is an active meditative practice where I stop the continued exploration and pulse of society. When I enter this deeper practice, I can't control or define it. I meditate on the long and distant connection with other ways of being, on the meaning of tools and natural physical encounters. On the impact of widespread environmental degradation, habitat loss, hybridity, and interconnectedness. Every step in the process is guided by a different energy that continues to recycle and live through my body. I often assist this practice with ingesting teas, sacred plants, roots, and foods foraged in my walks around the region.
