Rooted

In a world that often emphasizes individualism and resource exploitation through creative exploration and art, I pause to reflect on our deep-rooted relationship with other sentient beings and the planet. We find ourselves in the age of the Anthropocene, marked by widespread environmental degradation, global warming, and loss of biodiversity, all driven by economic and cultural models focused on exploitation. This is an ongoing research and exploration of the interconnectedness with our ancestry, in an exploration and understanding of the elements in this earth and what brought us here.

Every physical installation is different and has no other purpose than to build invisible threads between objects or elements within the installation. Explorations are created using sacred plants or teas to connect with alternative, non-sapient intelligence ways of thinking.

The viewer can join meditations questioning human centricity, the environment, and the meaning of nature.
